Ohhh man.

I was thinking about him a couple of days ago and his heart attack scare. I meant to follow-up and check on him but it seems I've missed my opportunity.

I'm very sorry Derek, I hope you're in a place where you have plenty of time to read. I enjoyed your company here at MR.

I never got to enter in a conversation with him, but such was his presence in the forum that even me, only an occasional MobileReader, got on many occasions the pleasure to read threads he contributed to. I remember noticing his intelligence and tactfulness.

I don't know his age. But I can say he was too young.

According to his blog he was 52 years old. (amazing what you can find with google).

He also was the person who sold me my cybook (through his firm NAEB), I hope he's still reading up there..... (although being the atheist that I am, I don't believe it.....)
