Tantor Audio to stop selling Audiobooks directly
I received an email from Tantor Audio saying that they are going to stop selling audiobooks directly from their website as of January 18th, 2019. Also, everyone that has books on their bookshelf will have until March 31st, 2019 to download their purchases.

They are going to sell their audiobooks through the several online retailers that already exist.

They already sell their audiobooks via audible.com, I've bought a number of their books.

Hopefully, my post didn't sound like I was discounting what you said, because I didn't mean it that way.

I'm would suspect that quite a few audiobook companies are going to focus more on content and less on selling from their website. Several of the ebook stores are expanding their audiobook selections.

Just a reminder to download your library from Tantor. In my previous experience, when a site is closing, there are multiple crashes during the final week or two and the time to download is rarely extended. In some cases, they close early, unexpectedly.

Final reminder to download any Tantor Audiobooks you have in your bookshelf. They will be closing it at the end of the month and anything you did not download will be lost to you. Don't wait to the end- in closings of other online stores, people frantically download the last 2-3 days and the system crashes. Over and over.
