Calibre modify epub files before sending
Hi,
When using Calibre to send epub files to my jailbroken oasis, I saw that it doesn't send original epub file to it, but firstly modify it by changing OEBPS/content.opf inside epub, and then send it. I don't like that behaviour and i would want it to stop. It messes up with koreader progress sync mechanism. |

That has been calibre's standard behaviour for a long time (version 1 if I recall correctly). OTOH, if you are not modifying the metadata, calibre will be embedding the same metadata each time the file is sent.
I'm rather curious as to how that messes up the KOReader progress sync mechanism unless you are modifying the metadata between each device you send the epub to and if you are doing so, why? |

for kindle i send book using the cable, but for phone i use OPDS, and the two files are different because of this behaviour.

And after using ModifyEpub plugin the content.opf is still diffrent. Updating metadata and removing jacket resulted in best option but it still was different. |
