I won't comment on the value of them, since I've never used them.

However, since you brought it up, I've thought several times about asking you if it might be best to have a separate thread for them. So, yes, I guess that I do think that they clutter up the thread a little bit. And I'm one who generally believes "the less threads the better," and try to avoid creating a new one if a post that I want to make can fit into an existing thread.

I find value in them; something will catch my eye that wasn't in my radar.

However, you do so much work posting deals that I tend to think you need to cut yourself some slack. Actually, if you're looking to cut back, I think I'd prefer it if you kept these featured deals and didn't do the Audible Daily Deal, because there's more value for me in the former. It's easy enough for me to look up the daily deal; your featured deal would require more effort for me to dig out. Selfish, c'est moi..

No more stickies, though. An audiobook deal is an audiobook deal.

I'm not sure I see the difference between the channel posts and, say, just posting about a random book from the library each day, or a random selection from Hoopla or Libravox.

Sure, it may be nice to hear about books that would not have been on your radar, as you say, but there is the whole rest of MobileRead for that.

Fair enough. I was responding in regard to where I find value, but I take your point, especially as the exploding value of a daily deal had more urgency.

Not clutter at all, but I don't know why you want to make extra work for yourself. I'd be happy enough to know simply when Audible changes/adds choices.

Since I listen to audiobooks only on my (old and please-live-a-long-life) iPod Classic, I have no interest in anything that's streaming only. Someday that will change....when the Classic dies. It's the only i-thing I own - but I love the huge capacity compared to any other MP3 player.

I have listened to or put on my TBR list several of the Audible Channels books you have highlighted here. I also like the fact that you give both the UK and USA Audible Daily Deals.

Let me know what you think of this approach to the daily deals. It streamlines the process quite a bit and reduces the number of posts to wade through.
