I'm sorry to read about your loss, Betty. I'm glad that your mother had a dignified and peaceful end. I am impressed how much you helped your mother during the last year.

hugs Betty. I hope that the memory of her smile and laugh can put an occassional smile on your face when you think of her.

Sorry for your loss, Betty. I lost my mother 11 months ago, and find myself still thinking... Gee, Mom would sure get a kick out of this or that... The pain passes and what is left are fond memories.

Hugs to you Betty - loss of a parent is so difficult - but the calm & supportive manner of her passing will help you deal with it now - and later. Hold onto those memories! Stay close - with your family & your friends here!

Betty -- my condolences. I'm truly glad you were there and that it was as quiet as it was. Later, this will help.
Stitchawl -- 21 degrees inside? That's hardly cold! We generally keep it around 18-20 all winter, except at night where it gets down to 15 or so. And, to keep on topic: Fresh squeezed orange juice now, and about to brew a mug of Scottish Breakfast tea from Peets. It's a wet one. |

We keep the house at 70 for Lucas' sake. Before him we kept the house at 64 at night and 68 during the time we were home.
Pu-Erh in my cup ( cup three or four). I have also consumed a 2% milk and a couple of boxes of chocolate milk. |

We don't exactly set a thermostat, or rather only a crude one. Our only heat, really, is a pellet stove insert to the fireplace. But that's more than enough even on the coldest days we get to keep us quite comfortable. But we generally set the thermostat that controls it to 20 degrees (68 F). But since the thermostat is next to the fireplace...
Mostly done with that first mug of Scottish Breakfast. Perfect on a day like this when the fog is so thick I can't see the other side of the road. Time to make another pot. |

Pride of the Port cup one. Lucas woke up every other hour last night. I finally gave up and brought him into our bed to sleep on me so that we all would get some sleep. Poor little guy was trying to roll over in his sleep and getting frustrated. Talk about not being able to turn your brain off and rest. I think it is a good thing that we don't really remember those first years.

Poor little guy. I hope you all were finally able to get some sleep.
I am a warm weather girl and like my house to be about 78F (25 - 26C). I don't do well in the cold. Morning coffee in my cup. |
