Moving from Calibre 32bit to Calibre 64bit

I have been upgrading my Calibre 32bit server since... forever.

Is there a clean path to migrate a "mature" 32bit setup to 64bit?

I presume the 64bit version should benefit from the over-the-top volume of resources I give my Windows Server 2012 R2 calibre VM:
-- 1x socket vCPU
-- 4x vCores
-- 8 GB ram for VM (256 GB total / 192 GB unallocated)
-- Hypervisor host = dual proc hex core Xeons
-- Enterprise Class 7200 RPM 4 TB drives (Raid 1)
-- Nothing Over Subscribed

A couple things I am concerned about:
Thing to Consider #0: Any gotchas migrating? Warstories?
I learned my lesson this summer. I back up Calibre every day + keep 30 plus days of backups on a separate server. (I've tested restoration, I'm not worries about trying something and restoring last night's backup)

Thing to Consider #1: I have a never been conservative growing my library.
I have 8525 items in my library. Ranging from hoarded amount of FanFiction to CBZ graphic novels, lately some html sites that import easily to very cleanly convert to EPUB.

This combined with my addict junkie hood for custom columns + plugins has ballooned my metadata.db to nearly 50 MB.

Thing to Consider #2: I am a custom column junkie:
I have them already, Lots of them, is that a problem? (I figured close Calibre 32bit... open library in Calibre 64bit)

More precisely, I prefer to keep them until someday someone implements my

hehehe

Thing to Consider #3: I am a plugin junkie:
Is there a simple way to migrate my plugins + plugin settings to the new fresh 64bit installation?

My installed plugins are listed below:
Plugin #1 of 9 = Audit Log

Plugin #2 of 9 = Author Count

Plugin #3 of 9 = Count Pages

Plugin #4 of 9 = English Noun Frequency

Plugin #5 of 9 = EpubMerge

Plugin #6 of 9 = EpubSplit

Plugin #7 of 9 = FanFicFare

Plugin #8 of 9 = Find Duplicates

Plugin #9 of 9 = MultiColumnSearch

Thing to Consider #4+: Is there anyone with wisdom / experience to point any other concerns I failed to mention?

calibre 32bit and 64bit are fully compatible, you can move back and forth between them to your hearts content. The only caveat is that some security/antivirus programs dont like the 64bit version of calibre but are OK witht he 32 bit version and vice versa.

So far, it seems to me, the fresh 64bit install is much faster!

(maybe the performance improvement is because of a "fresh" install or because of "64bit versus 32bit")

Thank you for Calibre!!
