Thank you. Reading it.

Here's the website:

And a quote from it that I am referring to:

And this other page from the CDC website says the same thing. Why they have two different webpages, I don't know. Seems like an opportunity for them to get out of sync as recommendations change and they might forget to update one of the pages. And being out of sync would cause confusion.

Thank you. Living in Canada, CDC website hasn't been my first source of information even if I'm generally aware of their recommendations.
I can't help to extrapolate theirs as "We're confident that vaccinated people are less infectious but don't take any chance on more at risk population".

He got his thru our doctor's office, I got mine thru the local Health Dept. after I used them via the ArmorVax app for my 90 year old mom. She gets her second also the last week of April.

We had no reactions from the first shot that were noticeable. I was tired for a couple of days but don't know if that was from the shot. The Health Dept. location was very organized, and I was in and out in 20 minutes, which included the 15 minute wait afterward. They've done a great job with scheduling, 18 stations, and lots of volunteers, all doing one thing efficiently. EMT's were on hand as well.

Our daughter lives in another state, and got her first shot, Pfizer, yesterday. She feels terrible today and said her arm hurts a lot. She also had a vagal response after the shot, something she is somewhat prone to. Her spouse is scheduled next week I think, she isn't 30 yet so had a longer wait. Daughter works in the grocery industry so was able to get hers before other in their 30's, she is 34. Kentucky rollout has been slower than Ohio.

We went with the science.
Yay! I bet you look forward your next - fully vaccinated - reunion.
My parents got their first shot of Pfizer in France, it was hard to convince my mum to get vaccinated, but I've been very clear on my intents to not visit them until they would be fully vaccinated (for their own sake and my partner's health)

I was just wondering today, does anyone here who took the vaccine now wish that they hadn't? Any second thoughts or buyer's remorse?

I have no points to make one way or the other on this, I was just wondering.

Personally, I have not had any second thoughts. OK, so I guess I did have one point. And that was it.

So far nothing has come out that makes me regret getting vaccinated.

My only second thought is what if there's a more effective shot in 6 months or a year, does the fact that I was an early adopter leave me out in the cold?

(Obviously that's going to require COVID still being a thing in 6 months or a year. Which I think is fairly likely, unfortunately)

Probably.

But hopefully it won't come to that.

Going by other diseases and vaccines, I can't imagine why. Admittedly I only have up close and personal experience of my country's vaccination system, but I've had plenty of new vaccines/boosters for superseded vaccines that I had in the past. Including one this year, and one coming up next year.

I mean, I did admit it wasn't likely.

But usually boosters are because of waning immunity.

Then there's stuff like the flu that mutates rapidly enough where there's a different formulation each year with different viruses.

I'm just worried that there'd end up being some interaction between the first gen COVID shots and this hypothetical better version.

(DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor and this isn't meant as medical advice)
(ANOTHER DISCLAIMER: I worry about stuff. A lot.)

There is some talk of a universal coronavirus vaccine being potentially possible as well.

I'm struggling to imagine a physiological plausibility here, or a precedent in the vaccine world, but I'll think on it. (Disclaimer: I have a medical degree, but I'm not an immunologist or virologist.)

I mean, it's not a huge second thought.

I did have a bit of a weird reaction to the first dose (I'm guessing the pharmacy student who put the needle in my arm didn't do a good job) and the reaction to the second dose wasn't fun, but I'd totally do it again
