Thank you, thank you Dropbox Users!

Just happened to check my dropbox status today, and it had gone up significantly! I can now move my Calibre library to Dropbox, and access it from the Calibre Mobile App!

This is such a helpful bunch. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate all the help I have recieved here, and now I have free Cloud storage! Thank you!

Dropbox is great. I can have all of my books in a catalog that I can access from my iPad. I'm only using about 500 MB of space and I've got 826 books on there so far.

Dropbox up the space to 500 per referral earlier this month. So 18.8GB is what I have now and it's great!

This. I love this forum.

I too have gotten an increase in space from people using my link. Sure helps out. And now they give an extra 500 MB for referrals.

I wasn't aware there is a Calibre Mobile App.

Not "mobile" in the sense of "running on iOS or Android", but there is a "portable" version of Calibre which runs from a memory stick.

Go to the Calibre download page:

http://calibre-ebook.com/download

and click the "Portable" link.

I just use the DropBox app(s) to access my stuff, no need for a Calibre specific one.

I want to have my Calibre Library in the Cloud and access it on any device including format conversions.

I don't think that can be done, unless Calibre's content server can to conversions (if you're willing to leave your computer on).

What we need is the ability to email a book to an email address setup just for calibre, and then if/when calibre is run on the home computer, it checks that email address for attachments, and automatically imports those attachments into calibre, including cleaning the attachments of any extra parts that shouldn't be there.

Perhaps that could all be accomplished with a plugin?

Then, if the calibre library is stored in a dropbox folder, those imports would automatically get synced back to the cloud.

Better than whispernet!!!!

That sounds like a pretty straightforward thing to achieve. Why not suggest it in the Calibre forum?

Calibre can monitor a folder for files to import. If that folder was in Dropbox, it would accomplish the same thing proposed above without resorting to email.
