Lost News Subscriptions w. 0.6.18 Update

I just updated to 0.6.18 (on Windows XP Pro) from 0.6.17.

I installed "over" the existing 0.6.17 installation as it didn't appear that you needed to uninstall first if you were running that version. My library appears fine, but most of my scheduled-download newsfeed subscriptions disappeared in the process.

Out about a dozen subscriptions, only ZDnet and Wired.com remained in the list and their auto-download times had been reset back to 12:00:00 from my custom times.

I've been using Calibre since somewhere around 0.6.5 and I've never seen this sort of problem during an upgrade. The installer seemed to run and complete normally.

Anybody else missing their scheduled news download settings after the move to 0.6.18?

0.6.18 uninstalled 0.6.17 instead of just installing on top of. So what may have happened is that any settings in the Calibre directory were wiped when you installed 0.6.18.

The news scheduler was re-written in 18. It may not migrate all your old subscriptions. In which case you will have to re-create them.

[ EDIT - I posted about The Economist subscription failing to download but see now that it's covered in another thread. Since I can't delete my post (or can I?) I'm just trimming it down ]
