How I can use the Kindle voyage device output profile in Calibre 1.48 ?

The Kindle Voyage device output profile only been in Calibre 2.X.
Would you plaease tell me how can I use the Kindle voyage device output profile in Calibre 1.48 ? Or,anybody can create a Kindle voyage plugin to support Calibre 1.48 ?

As far as I know, the output profile is only used to decide whether pictures must be resized or not. Just use 'tablet' (that doesn't resize at all) and leave it to the device.

You mean output profie dosen't work to characters ?
so, use any output profile in Calibre as you like ?

Yes. With the new hi-res devices like my Kobo H2O and your Kindle Voyage it's best to simply use 'tablet' and leave any resizing needed to the reader.

Note that the Kindle device driver is a different matter.

The Voyage still connects since it uses the same USB IDs, but the max cover thumbnail size for the KINDLE2 driver had to be bumped to account for the greater resolution of the KV.

So if calibre sideloads thumbnails, they might be a little on the small side.

Fixing this requires running calibre from source and backporting the change.
