ePub upload to iBookstore... ISBN question
Apologies if this is wrong forum... (I considered Apple Devices)
I'm uploading my initial epub to iBookstore and I have an ISBN question. (I have submitted my question to iTunes Producer staff but don't expect an answer soon.) When submitting the ePub the "rollover" info for the ISBN number says that it must be a "unique identifier" and they "suggest" using an ISBN number. Suggest? Can this be some type of other "unique identifier"??? And how would you know if anything other than an ISBN was "unique"? Has anyone submitted an ePub to the iBookstore without an "official" ISBN number? |

I haven't. Always used an ISBN. When you go back to edit details later they are listed by the identifiers. ISBN is the most logical unique identifier.

I got a quick answer from iBookstore support. Even though the panel rollover instruction says "we suggest" - support says it MUST be an ISBN.
