I'm a pretty regular reader of MobileRead, and I reckon I'm pretty well up on the mobile reading market, but I have to confess that I don't have the FAINTEST IDEA what the heck this post is about. What on Earth is a "Cyanogen device"?

Cyanogen is a firmware mod for android devices, for instance for the Nook Color.

If you installed 4 versions on the same device, that should count as one. On this link: http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/cmst...-should-opt-in it says:

Sad, there are only 4200 other people still using their Magic/Sapphire/MyTouch3Gs.

The funny thing is, this surely doesn't even include unofficial ports, like I'm running on my Optimus V.

That's the Virgin Mobile version of the Optimus One, right? Do you have any idea if there are ports for the other versions such as the Phoenix or Thrive (AT&T)?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=836 I'm running the Inferior Human Organs (IHO) port of CM7. It's pretty solid - not as good as an official CM7 device (like CM7 on the Nook Color) but solid. |
