New books at Tantor's website
For those of you who have given up looking on Tantor's website for books might want to look again. They have finally added the books for the last couple of years that were Audible-only to their site. I see a couple of titles I will be watching for a sale. They had their usual $4.99 Black Friday sale last year but there wasn't anything I was looking for at the time.

Thanks for the heads up. I like to prop up Tantor and Downpour when I can (and when I can save money! ). And, they're DRM-free, a reason in itself.

Yeah, me too. I'm taking advantage of the eStories $0.99 for three months deal from Black Friday, but other than that I didn't get any other audios for BF. Tantor hadn't added any titles in, like, 2 years and Downpour's sale wasn't as deep a discount as it was previously. Now I'll be eagerly anticipating the BF sales this year.

I got lucky at Downpour's sale, if "lucky" translates to, "wishlist books which would have taken a credit at Audible and instead cost five or six bucks." I had to rein myself in, in fact.

I think the post-price-apocalypse reality is that given the paucity of membership deals at Audible and the skyrocketing Whispersync prices, I had to adjust my target price level a little higher. $6 was pushing it a bit, but I figure the price trajectory is going to continue to go the wrong way.
