Question about the Nook HD Tablets - Page 4

Thanks for the headsup that the "Extras" script survives firmware update. I've used the "Universal root" from the same guy, and that didn't survive (but, as I said, not much of a problem). They basically do the same thing, but I'll flas the "Extras" this time.

I just updated my firmware to 2.1.1 yesterday. I was surprised to find that the modifications made using the "Extras" file all stuck. I thought I would have to re-flash everything. But it's not necessary.

I'm attempting this method now on my Nook HD.

Drat. Still not booting from the card.

FINALLY figured it out, and updated both of our Nook HDs. Only took me about 15 tries. lol

Just did it on another Nook HD, installing Amazon App store now. Sweet!

Question for Calibre users. Have you figured out a way to have Calibre automatically add the series name and index to the title on "send to device" to an HD or HD+? I can do it on my e-ink readers and on save to disk. But despite all the things I did, it never worked. Instead, I have to save to disk and then drag files from my saved folder.

Answer to my question above: never mind!

I now use the Calibre Companion app, and it is perfect for my needs!
