Problem "saving to disk" pdf files

Hello to all.

First, my compliments to Kovid and to the other peoples working on Calibre!

I have this problem:

Some of my books and manuals come in pdf format and since
a) my DR1000 with new firmware manages them very well
b) they are HUGE manuals
c) some of them change almost once in trimester

So I don't want to convert them in epub.
But I keep them in Calibre since is very easy to manage and search them.

But when I try to copy from calibre to the folder I use as "cache", Calibre builds the folders and then stays hidle since I cancel the operation.

Any hint, please?
(DO NOT suggest me to move the pdf by hand, please: Calibre builds for me the folders structure and get the metadata...)

Your Metadata writer plugin for PDF may be hanging. Try disabling (Preferences-Plugins-metadata writer plugins-PDF) the PDF metadata writer plugin and see if that helps.
