No Progress bar on the Touch...
...well if the images are to be believed, I would get one for that reason alone (if and when they come to the UK that is)
Strangely enough, the non-touch has the progress bar in the UK but not in the US... |

I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it. It might be that on the Kindle Touch the progress bar is hidden until you tap the screen. That is the case with some readers and with some of the Android reader apps.

Yay. I hope the reader.prefs tweak to reduce the margin still works and works for top and bottom margins too.

I'm willing to bet the touch/non-touch models will run different firmware.

Can someone elaborate on the reader.prefs tweak? Sounds like something I'd do. Too much white space in the margins even at the minimum setting.

Hm, I notice the screenshots for the non-touch new Kindle also don't show a progress bar. How did I miss that before?

Fwiw, I saw hands on video of the non touch and it has the progress bar at bottom just like the k3. I suspect the non touch uses the same firmware as k3 plus soft keyboard and minus audio features. |

I don't see one on this picture. This was taken from Amazon's website.

Yeah, from the pics and videos i have seen there is no bar on the Touch. The location and % are still there (bottom left corner, and bottom right corner), however.
