For example, The Gates of Tagmeth by P C Hodgell (Baen August 2017)

tpb Baen $8.99 Amazon $7.55 Save 16%

That poster didn't need to. They factually posted that one author received prestigious awards indicating an audience that finds merit in her writing. This is an argument with supporting evidence for the worth of an author. The poster might not have even read that author and it would not change the interpretation of that post.

Perhaps you should stop policing threads with your tiresome "in your opinion" followups that adds nothing to the conversation.

In Amazon US King's Dragon by Kate Elliott is for sale for $3.

https://www.amazon.com/Kings-Dragon-.../dp/B00AFXJKCG

Great novel, it is the part of a series that I thought lost steam as it went on due to an overly complex plot thread that the writer herself acknowledged. Still worth reading IMO. lol

Also on sale at the other usual stores.
4 novels for $3 is a pretty good deal. I vaguely remember liking this series when it came out in paperback ages ago.

P.J. Farmer - World of Tiers collection - Is it a good offer?

I saw on Amazon that there are collections of P.J. Farmer, or Silverberg, priced at $9.99 for 3 books, which means $3.33 per book. It doesn't look bad to me, but it is not really a low price. Nevertheless, maybe somebody might be interested. Other similar offers will appear when you follow the link.
Is it within the thread scope ?

It certainly is within scope. I'd also like to point out that these collections are published by Open Road Media, and Open Road has a tendency to eventually place most of their SF on sale for a day. The first World of Tiers collection was $2.99 back on August 31st, so I'm waiting for a while to see if the second collection goes on sale.

X-link to the DRM-free thread for a Humble Bundle based on an sfnal franchise:

Humble RPG Book Bundle Warhammer containing gamebook guides and supplements for the popular sci-fantasy gaming franchise, whose empire has extended to tie-in novelizations (some of which we've gotten as freebies), if you happen to be a fan.

Looks like a short lived sale. Your link now shows at $11.88 (still not bad at $2.97 per book).

Still shows the sale price for me. Could this be a US/Canada pricing issue?

A lot of Open Road Media sales are US only. And he's a Canadian author, too.

Interesting. When I was checking the price, I used Tor to appear to be from an IP address that geolocated to Texas according to Google. I just did a new test switching identities several time. From a Ukrainian address, I got the $2.99 price while an US address (New Jersey is still in the States, right?), I got the $11.88 price. Another attempt got me an address that geolocated to West Virginia and that had the $2.99 price.

Weird and wonderful.
