Received my iliad this afternoon.
played around abit, plugged in power cord to charge battery.
configured wireless.
started software-update.
it download "speedup-startup", so it told me
and now it hangs with message "download complete" since 5 mins.
damn!

ok - did a "reset" now on iliad - because it would not come out of "download complete".

doesn't seem to have hurt.....

[edited: 't was just the shortref guide downloaded.... hmmm]

"shortref guide" in htm or pdf format?

In the manual (or short reference?) there was somewhere written that if during the installation of downloaded software & tools something went wrong or the device is turned off its no problem. Simpy reset the device and download again.

Just if you do a firmware update the device is in danger when update hangs up or device is turned off. At least so it was written ...
