Aha ... Bis(s) zum Morgengrauen um die Hälfte günstiger?!

Durch einen Link hier zur Umfrage bei libreka habe ich auf der Seite mal vorbeigeschaut und gesehen, dass dort "Bis(s) zum Morgengrauen" von Stephenie Meyer jetzt für 9.95 erhältlich ist. Ebenso jetzt auch bei libri.de.

Das ist schön, bedenkt man vor allem, dass der Roman bis vor kurzem noch das Doppelte gekostet hat.
Nur frage ich mich gerade: Wo bleibt da die Buchpreisbindung?

Muss/kann man damit rechnen, dass Verlage zuerst versuchen, den Kunden in Zukunft ein eBook zum Hardcoverpreis anzudrehen? Und wenn niemand darauf hereinfällt, dann die günstigere Paperbackausgabe (schließlich sind eBooks ja auch "Soft"ware ) nachschieben?

Nur - wie definiert man bei einem eBook eine Hard- und eine Softcoverversion? Da wird der deutsche Börsenverein etwas in Erklärungsnot kommen, wie er vor solch einem Hintergrund die Buchpreisbindung für eBooks aufrecht erhalten will.
Wir haben jetzt innerhalb eines halben Jahres für denselben Inhalt zwei verschiedene Preise, liebe Leut' ... und es gibt bei eBooks keine Mängelexemplare.

So wie ich das verstanden habe, gibt es eine Buchpreisbindung für das Buch und eine für das e-Buch. Das muss aber nicht der gleiche Preis sein.

Ja, ganau. Das ist aber schon länger so. Glattauers "Gut gegen Nordwind" kostet derzeit 6,50 € bei libri, vor ein paar Wochen lag es bei 14 €.

Hehe, das war jetzt fiese. Ich dachte das ist "defect by design".

Marc, das hast du missverstanden. Das eBook gab's jetzt (nicht gleichzeitig) innerhalb eines Jahres mit zwei Preisen. Preisreduktionen sind allerdings nur bei Mängelexemplaren möglich. Oder nach einer gewissen (llängeren) Laufzeit.

Na gut, bei Büchern warte ich auch, bis die als Paperbacks erschienen sind. Also gewöhnt man sich das halt auch bei eBooks an, weia ...
