Menubar behavior for plugin
This is likely me being stupid.

When my plugin is added to the toolbar, it appears with a clickable menu icon to launch the main plugin UI. Together with the additional dropdown menu defined by the plugin.

When the plugin is added to the menubar, the menu doesn't include the menu item to launch the main plugin UI. How can I include that?

action_menu_clone_qaction adds it to both the menubar and the toolbar.

But it's not necessary for the toolbar, since the main the toolbar menu icon itself will already do the same thing. Is there a way to just add it for the menubar?

I think having it in both places is right, especially if you can define a shortcut for the "main" action. Without the cloned menu you can't see the shortcut definition.

all of calibre's builtin toolbar buttons behave the same way with the cloned item.
