I liked #7, but then I saw your added #10 and liked that best.

ooo ... I really like 12a. I was down with the pointed Vs for fangs, but the new one is very well done and gets my vote!

Numbers 12a and 10 (my two favorites) are getting a lot of votes, so I combined them into #13 just to see.
Interestingly, more people have clicked on/enlarged #11 than any of the others! |

#14 now. I don't think #13 would be read as yenom of yipers, but I like the way 14 is more balanced.

Hi kcmay, et al,
I'm probably a bit out on a limb here. I preferred #3 above all others, because I could read it more easily. That said, if the book were to be one of a series, then continuity of typeface in the title and byline may help purchasers find the book, and the more distinctive typefaces in the others would catch the eye more. Also, the words "the" and "of" were easier to pick out than on the other proposals. In the others, I got the feeling the title was more "Venom Vipers" than anything else. (Could the title be "Viper's Venom"? Just a thought.) I hope this helps. |

Seems like for every new version posted up it's becoming harder to pick a suitable one based on the votes.
Maybe it's getting time to cull the selection down to 3 or 4 and start a new iteration? Paul |

I'm down to three finalists:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5424039...7624911730895/ I have a good idea which one I'm NOT going to pick, but if it gets the most votes, I'll reconsider. Then I'll just have to decide between the other two. I really appreciate y'all's help with this! Design isn't my forte. |

Sorry, I hadn't realised that!.
In that case I like the way the "V" formation in #14 moves the eye through the title and then down to the person before ending on the surname - there's a flow to it. So #14 gets my meagre vote. |

I'll go with 14 as well. Did you do it all by hand? Whats your secret?

I'm a wannabe graphic artist with absolutely no talent, but I bought a Wacom tablet to mess around with. It came with Photoshop Elements, so I can do some photoshoppy-type stuff. It's fun. I do wish I could draw & paint though!
The artwork was done by a real artist. I'm just handling the text. |
