Found: His Royal Baby by Raye Morgan is the 2nd in her Royals of Montenevada series of f/m contemporary romances set in a classically Ruritanian fictional European country by the name of Carnethia (Wikipedia), this installment featuring intrigue and the secret results of a not-so-secret love affair between the Crown Prince of the recently restored monarchy and the daughter of the rival family that had ousted his from power, free courtesy of publisher Harlequin's UK daughter-clone Mills & Boon.

This is being offered free to celebrate the recent birth of the Commonwealth's now-no-longer-nameless princess, and seems to be exclusively available via the Mills & Boon website. Apparently, this entire series has been popular enough to be adapted to the Harlequin manga line, which is oddly cute.

Currently free @ directly at the publisher (ADE-DRM ePub available to "purchase" worldwide, although you may possibly need a VPN IP proxy to actually download the .acsm file).

Because it seems fitting to give this one a spotlight for Queen Victoria's actual birthday (really on the 24th, but celebrated last Monday for official statutory holiday purposes so that people could get a day off), even if this seems totally unrealistic (even moreso than usual for typical-seeming category romances involving "foreigners") when it comes to stuff like how even a not-totally-sfnal-AU modern-day royal succession would even work with out-of-wedlock pregnancies and births (hello, return of non-title-eligible morganatic alliances!) even with stuff like DNA testing available (vide Monaco, I suppose).

(Fun fact: Queen Victoria was really only born and came to power due to the succession crisis that was engendered by the original Princess Charlotte's sudden death, which had all the then-available-royals stepping up their marriage/heir-producing game. Hopefully things turn out happier for the current one. )
