You can explore using Calibre to manage your library of DRM free books and Kovid, the creator, frequents the forums here. MR even has a dedicated Calibre forum.

The MR Library has free ebooks that have been beautifully formatted by some very dedicated MR members. I think your bebook uses ePub format format.

feedbooks.com and manybooks.net are a couple of free ebook sites along with Project Gutenberg.

And for free and for purchase ebooks check out smashwords.com and baen.com Plus Baen has a free library
