A way to filter out NON Kindle Unlimited books?
I don't want to see these books. They're junk, for the most part, at least to me. Does anyone know of a way to filter these out of bestselling lists, etc?

If you go to the main Kindle book page on Amazon and scroll down a bit on the left side of the page you'll see a heading: Kindle Unlimited. Not the item but the heading. Below that is an item Kindle Unlimited Eligible. Click that and you're looking only at Kindle unlimited books.

The OP could try searching for the big 5publishers in turn. That should pretty much cover it.

Hmm, filtering by the big 5 should do it! Thanks Susan!

Of course many of the various imprints from the big 5 listed without their parent publishers name so those would need separate searching. And then there are all of the traditional publishers not part of the big 5.

Not only do the big 5 have lots of imprints but now they seem to have separate imprints that are more like self-pubs. I think for those they don't pay advances or supply as much in the way of editing services, publicity, and I don't know what else.

You could just stick to the top 50 in your chosen main genre. Do not do sub-genres.
Good luck finding books. Now did you want Kindle Unlimited or did you want to avoid Kindle Unlimited? |

Another idea might be to browse books instead of ebooks. I believe that the KU books you want to filter out are only available in ebook format, while the majority of books by "regular" publishers are also available in hard copy.

Read the original post more carefully. The OP does not want to to filter out KU books; they want to filter out non-KU books. Ie they want to see only KU books.

I'm in the camp that says the OP doesn't want to see KU books. Because either he thinks KU books are junk or he thinks non-KU books are junk. Maybe I'm projecting, but the former seems far likelier to me.

I'm not so sure Harry. The OP liked Susan's suggestion to filter by the Big 5 publishers and I don't think many traditionally published books are in the KU program.

Hmm. The title "A way to filter out NON Kindle Unlimited books" seems pretty unambiguous to me .

I suspect he meant "filter out" in the sense that someone panning for gold filters out the gold flakes.

The OP really needs to clarify. If you "filter something out", it generally means getting rid of it.
