Bit the bullet and spent $25 off my wishlist (that I likely would've bought eventually), applying the immediate $6 credit towards a $10 book.

And once more into the breach, or at least into Kindle's Buy XXX Get YYY credit offer, this time good April 21 - 28. This seems to have become Amazon's favorite promotion for e-books...

Terms and conditions look pretty much the same as always.

Although this time the banner ad appeared for me on the first day of the event, it doesn't always (???), so I appreciate that Amazon lets you activate any time during the period!

Since it says by invite only, I don't think my link will work for anyone else - I tried it in an incognito tab with my husband's account, and it didn't. And I haven't gotten an email about it, so don't have a link from there to share either. Maybe someone else will find a generic one? Otherwise, just watch for the banner ad, and watch your email. Note that the exact amounts, both "spend" and "get", on this tend to vary from person to person.

I used it once again for a $26 spend on books I wanted my library doesn't have (a $15 nonfiction plus three titles in a mystery series). Applied towards three more books that totalled $5.97... could I then let the three cents go? Are you joking? $. 99 - $. 03 = $. 96!

Has anybody else had one of these "go off" too soon? I've bought $10 in books during the period, and had my eye on a $10 book to buy, if I got near the 28th without hitting my threshold. Instead, I got an email today saying I had my credit. I think I have to count back to buying the new Bujold on the 16th, to hit the stated threshold.

Not like I'm complaining, just curious.

Yes, I have sometimes gotten the credit at what seems like too early - maybe two or three times. I've wondered if it might be because I bought some books that were on sale, and maybe Amazon somehow picked up the "normal" price, rather than the price I'd actually paid. (And yes, I did check that I had gotten the sale prices...)

That has been about the only thing I could think of to explain it.

And of course, this being Amazon, I've also NOT gotten the credit, and had to argue with customer service

It's been five months since we've seen this deal; presumably it was on hiatus during the summer rewards promotion. Dates have been updated in the thread header. Look for a banner ad or a notification; failing that, there's a link upthread you can try to see if you qualify.
