Well, to clarify: The screen is damaged.

It was my nose, and not someone else's nose that caused the damage. My clown outfit was at the cleaners, so pockets are ruled out.

To think that it was not my nose is to challenge the very nature of the universe. After all, as we all know, only a careless person causes damage to a screen - or someone with excessively large buttocks.

That should settle the issue, I think.

I don't suppose you bought an extended warranty? Did they do one for the Oasis?

Could you ring Amazon and just say the lines appeared suddenly and see if they will replace it, I assume it is less than a year old. No need to mention what caused them, after all they did appear suddenly.

I've never bought an extended warranty on my ebook readers.

I suppose I could ring them up. I'll give that some consideration. (I also need to look to see when I bought it.)

Now I understand. You were reading again at night, while you should have been doing other things. Your wife (who was expecting said things to be done) grabbed the e-reader from your hands, and whacked you in the face with it.

Actually, these Oases (I just got one April 9th) are SO light, I think the screen would break before the nose. Perhaps the button edge could cause damage. But not that flimsy screen portion!
