Importing libaries

I wanted to ask about the library names when importing libraries using the import/export feature.

When I get done with the import, all the library names are the full pathway name. However, when I select that library to go into, another library name pops up - just the library name.

I have always just removed the long-path library name once there was the short name. Is this right? Or am I missing something? Why are there now two names for the same library?

Also, if I am not paying attention and delete the long-path name for the library I am already in (even if it already has the shortened name) I end up "breaking" Calibre and end up with the Unhandled Exception error.

Simply restarting calibre after doing the import should take care of the long paths.

In fact, after an import calibre should be restarting automatically anyway, is that not happening for you?

Actually there may be an issue with this on windows because of the backslash path separators not being normalized, will be fixed in the next calibre release.

Thanks! Yeah, Calibre does restart, so I guess you figured out what was wrong. I didn't know that this wasn't the way it was supposed to be.
