Using find replace box to append occurances

I need to find/replace or append on the end of a images ending eq#.jpg where the # can be either single or double number.

Looking throught the help eq[0-9].jpg and eq[0-9][0-9].jpg work fine to find these occurrance but how do I say append some text at the end of these occurances?

having browsed through
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=237181
it seems this should be easily possible but I'd like to do so by filling in the find replace tool:

Name:	form.JPG
Views:	153
Size:	25.0 KB
ID:	172296

a bit like wildcards of ancient times past
obviously what I filled in the replace section did not work!

With regular expressions you can put parenthesis around something to save it then in the replacement text use \1 to insert the saved text. If you use [0-9]+ that matches 1 or more digits so try "eq([0-9]+).jpg" as the Find string and "eq\1.jpg added bit here" for the replacement text.

Also, in the Find text a period matches any single character so you should put a \ in front of it to force it to match the period.
