I dunno, labelling novels as novels was useful when I was trying to find the history texts among the books my library put out for Black History month.

Other household members want the non-fiction books labelled instead. They say that slapping A History on something like Emperor of Rome by Mary Beard would be more useful then slapping A Novel all over the place.

Well it's obviously not a toaster!

I suppose if they use the term "novel" to denote length, vs. a short story or a novella, that could be okay (it's hard to estimate the page count on a digital book, particularly if you're not on the product page).

I would frankly feel better if publishers were more forthright about the book's length, rather than, "This thing you've heard of is actually barely longer than a pamphlet in length, so we're gonna pad it with a bunch of unrelated crap to make it look more impressive and justify the asking price." Looking at YOU, Barnes & Noble copy of The Art of War!

I agree. A History would be better then slapping A Novel all over the place.

Having to be told what I have is a novel feels like the author and/or publisher things we are stupid and cannot tell what is a novel.

If A Novel is needed to we know it's not a non-fiction book, then change the title of the novel so it's not similar to or the same as a non-fiction book if the non-fiction book was written first.

Three things which I think you can guess:

a) I tend to misclick a lot since my stroke.
b) A lot of fanworks on Archive of Our Own are fanart, not fanfic.
c) That fanart can be rated Explicit.

Hmm, I am suffering with this.
I've noticed this for about a year or two where I am having coordination issues with placing mouse over those tiny checkboxes. Even trying to click a larger link/button, just when I think I have got it, my hand suddenly jerks and I have clicked the next button.
I've tried googling these symptoms but end up with garbage results.

In my case its partly due a dodgy mouse switch thats too sensitive. I like my mouse too much to replace though.

I've always adjusted my mouse speed downward from the default setting whenever I get a new computer. Otherwise I have no hope of ever hitting the correct place (I have pretty poor coordination since birth).

What's the point of an alternate-universe/canon-divergeance fanfic where the story goes exactly the same way? Even the dialogue is copied verbatim.

I have a mouse that has a left button that sometimes bounces. I still have it. I may open it and see if WD40 will fix it. However, I have swapped it out for a spare BT mouse of similar size.

One is a Logitech mouse and the other is a logi mouse.
