How can I install apps to Softroot?

I want to install this but honestly I am a little confused...I see I can download it but where do I add it and how to install it?

2 ways:

ADB (google it / read on nook dev site)

or the easy way... extract to the SD card under 'packages' then open with trook.

easiest to download .APK file to your PC
copy over USB to main SD "my packages/unknown" folder
then start up Trook, navigate to App and install

Thanks, this also worked for me. Now, I have this Question; suppose I wanted to update an app for my softrooted Nook. How would I go about this.
I know I can install an app via Trook, but I don't know how I (and if I have to) delete the existing app from my Nook.

Help would be approciated

You just put the .APK new file in the same folder and install again (over the top) using Trook
