core dump - Qt problem?

I just installed Calibre on a linux mint 18.3 x64 system that I am running while working to recover my main system. Unfortunately I am encounter problems with it. The install of Calibre went fine, but I hit problems trying to run:

Are the core dumps of any use? Where are they? How do I correct this?

Did you get Calibre from a repository or from the site? The former is known for having issues.

PS: located the core dumps and could provide them if they are useful.
PPS: They are large, 76Mb total zipped!

Perhaps you could look at the Calibre 5.0.1 Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" FIXED thread and see if it helps you.

Thank you for the pointer. I installed libxcb-xinerama0 and am now up and running.
