Troubleshooting Disappearing ebook. - Page 2

I wonder if these books are somehow being classified as "Documents" instead? Do you have your view set to "All Items" or "Books." (This is probably not it, but at least it's something to check.)

rcentros: Yes, it's set to 'all'.

On the kindle, I only have the choice between "ALL/DOWNLOADED"

a stuck indexing routine could be to blame but that should stop
all new books from showing ?
I have a feeling that amazon will just put you through the soft reset, hard reset, any other reset they can think of routine then give up & suggest you buy a new one, and it may not be easy to track down another PW2 owner to to the same book-by-book tests with.
you mention one non drmed book from amazon - is that a free something we could grab from store & test with ?

if you have sufficient curiosity and patience, you could maybe remove ALL books and ALL docs from device , then start adding the suspect ones one at a time & testing to see if they show up

"All" and "Downloaded" determine whether you're looking at books/documents only on your Kindle or also online. There should also be another drop-down on the right side that will show one of the following. "All Items." "Your Items." "Shared Items." "Books." "Audible." "Comics." "Periodicals." "Docs." and "Collections." It's a filter feature. (Or maybe this came on a later release?)

It's set to "All Items" and "List".

If anyone wants to try the book, it was a freebie. Please bear in mind that I was specifically looking for humour at the time.
