The only issue that I have with authoralerts is that they don't really cover ebooks well. It's great for new books or re-releases though, just doesn't cover when books become available for ebook.

I'm sort of embarassed to say that. . .
I don't pay much attention to what books come out when. I have a hard time remembering when my next dental appointment is! Or when I need to change the oil in my car.
Is there a comprehensive schedule published somewhere? Edit: Never mind on the schedule, I sort of pulled the trigger on this post before I read all the prior posts! I forget to do that sometimes too! Last edited by GlenBarrington; 02-15-2013 at 11:51 PM. |

I was just messing around on Amazon and I see that their Advanced Search for books has an option so you can search what's coming out for a given month. Searching by genre, then Kindle, then March 2013 showed me some books coming out I didn't know about such as some 50th Anniversary Doctor Who stuff being put out by BBC Digital. Too bad they're $9.99 a book.

Very cool. For some reason I had not seen the advance search before. I do like that I can search on both sf&f and get English only results. |

For reasons only known to Amazon, the Advanced search link is only available from their books page, not their kindle books page, even though advanced search includes an option to restrict the search to Kindle books.

I'm eagerly awaiting for the release of The Demonologist by Andrew Pyper. Release date is March 5.

After playing around with it for a while, I find that I still have to wade through several pages of porn, indie authors and PD books for sale by people trying to game the Amazon system. I would guess this behavior won't change until it starts to obviously cost Amazon money.

I'm looking forward to three (more) March books, all in established UF series - the new Mercy Thompson, Kitty Norville, and Elemental Assassin books. That's in addition to Tom Holt's Doughnut and the eighth Walker Papers book, which just came out.

I've already read and loved When We Wake, and am looking forward to Midnight Blue Light Special eagerly. I've also got my eyes on Sister Mine (Nalo Hopkinson), Girl Defective (Simmonne Howell), House For All Seasons (Jenn J McLeod), and The Blue-Ribbon Jalapeno Society Jubilee (Carolyn Brown).
