My new "hearing amplifiers" arrived from Amazon yesterday. I've never worn hearing aids before even though I've had some hearing loss for years, the result of spending a lot of time in a noisy engine room whilst serving in the Navy.
At any rate I was anxious to see what it was like to actually hear things without having to turn the volume to level 9. It's amazing! There is so much going on in the world that I was completely oblivious to. Birds singing, the refrigerator buzzing, the kitties meowing in the next room, the HVAC positively roaring, the clock on the bathroom wall tick tocking away, and so much more. The tinnitus is still there, but it's volume remains the same as before, so compared to actual NOISE I can now hear it's so much less, I think I'm gonna like being able to hear. There is some down side, like having to fumble with those tiny batteries, my own voice startling the hell out of me, the cacophony of mouth breathing, and the rattling of my keyboard; but I believe it to be a small price. |

BLJ Hearing Amplifier Digital 6 Channels Sound Amplifier with Digital Noise Reduction and Feedback Cancellation (Left Ear-Blue)
and BLJ Hearing Amplifier Digital 6 Channels Sound Amplifier with Digital Noise Reduction and Feedback Cancellation (Right Ear-Red) There are less expensive ones, but after reading the reviews I decided to get these. You may only need one (right or left), but more is always better. |

Did it actually go away? I feel so stupid and I hate myself if I got tinnitus cause I don't go back to the dentist right away to get my bite fixed. What a nightmare. Though if I kept on using those earbuds who knows it might have happened either way. At least maybe I can get my neck and my jaw fixed and see what happens.

What was also happening is the inner ear, where our balance gizmo is, was acting up. I'd be walking along and suddenly the world felt like it went sideways and I'd have to grab on to something or get down on the ground. That went away entirely. I had been listening to music with the volume maxed and that could have caused the tinnitus but I don't know if it would have also caused the loss of balance. |

Well at least you went to one. Some doctors are better than others. Better to have gone and have him say nothing can be done instead of not going and finding out later that something could have been done. I often feel like doctor visits are a roll of the dice.

True! I’ve been to so many doctors it’s ridiculous. If it’s cause of tmj like I suspect then physical therapy might help.
