Help with du surnames please
I hope I will be forgiven for posting in English, but I have lost nearly all the French I had when I worked in Canada, and would like help with French names whose surnames begin with de or du - like George du Maurier.
In the phone books of French speaking countries would George du Maurier be sorted as du Maurier, George? Or as Maurier, George du? Is the du (or de for other authors) usually spelled du, or Du? de or De? |
