Capital: A Critique of Political Economy. Volume I: The Process of Production of Capital by Karl Marx

Vol. I of the major work of criticism of the capitalist system by one of the leading theorists of 19th century socialism. Only vol. 1 appeared in Marx’s lifetime; the other two vols. were published postumously by Engels. Marx prided himself on having discovered the “laws” which governed the operation of the capitalist system, laws which would inevitably lead to its collapse.

The also offer "ebook PDF" files, created from their HTML. I have a suggestion in that they offer zipped HTML as an option, which will make other conversions easier.

Meanwhile, thanks for this. It's a worthy addition to MR.

Incidentally, Vol. 1 should become available. A query to the site admin got this response:

We are endeavouring to provide all our texts in multiple formats, including ePub. This format is available for vols. 2 and 3 of the Marx but not for vol. 1 as we have had problems with displaying the footnotes correctly. We are working on fixing that.
