This photo looks interesting to me
http://www.sony.jp/products/picture/DPT-RP1_010.jpg It seems now you can have a note open with a book, side by side and take notes! this is cool. I'm glad that this is coming. |

This seems like a nice upgrade to DPT-S1 but strange to stick with only PDF when the built in browser for DPT-S1 already renders HTML so it should have been trivial to render EPUBs...
I love my DPT-S1 but Sony really seems to be striving hard to avoid the mass market. |

Processor: Marvell IAP140 64-bit Quad-core:
-ARM Cortex-A53 CPU, up to 1.2GHz, and a separate power low-power Cortex M3 - Supports Linux and Android so hopefully with little bit of magic and smart people... I would pay extra to be able to access Android. |

I'm rather go with the Onyx Boox Max Carta as it support more than PDF.

The grey case looks very nice! But let's hope the quality is MUCH better than the expensive super crap that I ordered from Sony Japan for the DPT-S1.
Only PDF support is still no problem. The Sony just works. Can't wait to see a RP1 in person... it's sad that there are still no physical buttons on both sides to flip pages. Does anybody know if the pen technology is compatible? From the pictures it does NOT seem so, the RP1 uses an active pen. Have a look at the picture with the USB-cable: http://www.sony.jp/digital-paper/products/DPTA-RS1/ Last edited by T.W.G; 04-11-2017 at 04:22 AM. |

I hope they used a flexible display again as the original DPT-S1 is very robust - excrep the color on my surrounding which wears of after only 1.5 years...

What is the point of Wi-Fi if there is no cloud app to it?
Digital artist found dead in home. Details sketchy. |
