I don't believe that is a 2.5 bin, but a 2.33 bin. That is why it doesn't work. Well, it works, but it only to 2.33. I might be wrong - has anyone been upgraded to 2.5 using it?

Hey,

So I can assume at this point there is No one out there with a Update for Kindle 2 (global) going from 2.3.3 to 2.5.

The only update I see here on the forums is for DX going from 2.3.2 to 2.5

I just downloaded it, installed beautifully on my Kindle DX US, w/ 2.3.2. 2.5 is very nice

Thanks for letting me know. I am glad it worked for you. My kindle went through the install beautifully, but at the end I still had 2.3.3.

My Kindle 2 shows Version: Kindle 2.3 (399380047), but the update bin posted here is
(399388047). Does anyone know what that difference means?

That means you need to upgrade your FW a little.
