I own alot of her backlist even tried to read one or two of her books and couldn't get into it. I think she hit her niche when she started writing these Texas books. This is where her talent really shines through. I don't have any of those but the Jubilee series though.
Cupid series is her new one. It may go on sale when the next one comes out here's hoping or the library may get it in.

Is there a way to be notified of new releases from a list you set up of your favorite authors? Does Goodreads do this?
I setup authors notifications at ereaderiq but it only sends price drops, not new release notices.

Yes Goodreads does (sort of)! "Here are this month's new releases from authors on your shelves and your favorite genres." You would sign-up for it in your general email preferences under your account - scroll to the bottom of the page just under "Newsletters and Other Mail".

I also get a few via Amazon.com, there's that (new?) "Stay Up to Date" link on each author's page that lets you do just that. No idea if Amazon.ca has it...

FictFact does this for series but I don't know of a site that does the same thing for all an author's books.

ereaderiq also does this for authors you want to follow. They notify you of any price changes of their books.

everybody for your replies and help!

I have already signed up at Amazon.com for author alerts, but I've never received anything [and missed a few new releases as a result].

Ereaderiq only notifies price drop, not new releases but I still made a list there.
Amazon.ca, you can't do it there [boy we Canadians don't get the perks .com people do!]

I am hesitant to try at Goodreads because it sounds like a monthly thing and that a bunch of recommendations will have to be sifted through [on second thought, is that a good or bad thing?! ]. I may just try that though too.

I just tried making an account at authoralert and it wouldn't let me because it said it couldn't verify my email address, when I tried again it said that email was in use and waiting for verification. I used a yahoo addy, didn't think that would be a big deal. Oh well.

Anyways thanks again for all the info and advice, I truly appreciate all of your input!
