PDF to ePub Conversion issue
Hey all, first post here. I looked over the sticky for this thread... but forgive me if I'm off base here. I'm converting an PDF to ePub using Calibre 5.27 (64 bit). When I convert certain letters are not capitalized. Each letter is at the beginning of a line (but not all lines are like this).

I've never ran across this before.

Look closer.
Most common it is a split paragraph (keyword: Line Unwrap factor)
Next is a Missing/misplaced Letter (eg DropCap ) Manually fix is the only cure

I went down to 0.2 on the unwrap factor. Still nothing. All manual?

There is no 'best' way to convert PDF to EPUB, different methods will be better for different 'styles' of PDFs.

There are many threads in this sub-forum and in the Workshop forum that discuss PDF to EPUB conversion, I suggest you do a search and peruse them. In some cases it's better to use a two or even three step process than trying to do it with a single tool like calibre.

But they all require some measure of manual editing.
