I wasn't sure I'd be eligible since I had a free or cheap trial late last year, but it did work.

I had a free trial that ended yesterday and was able to get this new offer today.

The offer has apparently been extended a day, to May 7, 11:59 p.m. PT.

Worked for me too. I have a subPrime account (an add-on to bro's Prime account). SubPrime usually lets you get most, but not all deals. The best advantage for me with KU is that I can get audiobooks as well at discounted price as though I bought it.

I'm also in it for the audiobooks. I've found a decent number where you can read and listen for free (borrowed), or else buy the audiobook for $1.99.
