Since you have been reading electronic books
Have you been reading more, about the same or less?

I vote about the same. Probably, though, the quality of my reading has gone up, since I can get most good classics for free.

I read considerably more with the content being a wider variety and better quality. Mainly due to books that are available via the public domain and the less expensive reprints and indies.
I still buy the current stuff but mostly just from my favorite authors. |

I have to say more but not a significant amount more. I am just keeping track of it more (thanks to the yearly challenge) and I always have something ready to go since I have them all with me. If I finish a book now I don't need to wait until I get home to start a new one or wait until I go to the library the next time.

I've been reading a lot more. It's easier for me to get the books I like, which are in English and I hardly ever read best-sellers so before I had to order them online. Also it's a lot cheaper. Most paper books I read cost between €10 and €20. Now most books I buy are well under €10.

I'd say more, but not actually because of ebooks. It's that I'm taking part more, in communities like this one, where enthusiasm is infectious.

Getting a kindle (and ebooks) have made reading a lot easier for me. Less trips to the library, less money spent on paperback books, less time wasted, more time to read. It's also been a lot easier to read books all the time instead of waiting to go to the library or store to grab a new one after I finish one.

More - because I carry my Kindle wherever I go, so I have more time to read. It become incredibly practical for me to carry books around regardless of the number of pages.
Also, it became cheaper to get books coz sometimes ebooks are cheaper than pbooks and because I use discounts offered by Amazon, Kobo and Google. Not to speak than I can get any book after it has just been published without having to wait for it to hit the stores. |

Used to read lots when I was younger, but getting older my eyes and hands made reading difficult for me. Ereading solved both for me! Woohoo!!! |

When I traveled for a living my suitcase and briefcase were full of books. I would have killed for an eReader back then. When the suitcase got to full I would box up the books and mail them home. I also tipped sky caps extra because they saved me a lot of money in excess baggage fees. Apache |

I probably read a little more, but the biggest change is that I read better books because of the greater accessibility of ebooks. It was a significant chore to acquire and transport and store and dispose of ~150 books a year, with ebooks it's trivial.

About the same. I've been doing the ebook thing since 1999 reading on my palm pilot. The big difference is since I got a Sony PRS-500 many moons ago, I've been buying less dead tree books. I probably haven't bought a non ebook in the past 3 to 4 years, however, I have been buying and reading just as much as before, generally between 200 to 300 books a year. There are very few new books that I want that don't come out as ebooks, though there are a lot of backlist books that I have in dead tree that I want as ebooks.

I have been reading much more because of the convenience of e-books. If I have my Kindle on me I can read on that, and even if I don't, I can read on my phone and sync between the two devices. With e-books, any spare moment waiting can be spent reading if I so choose.
