Duplicate files on SD card
Hi All,
Getting duplicate empty files (~4kb) on SD card when transferring from Mac. The SD card previously crashed and was successfully reformatted using the Panasonic software from here. Anyone have any similar occurences or fixes? Cheers |

Don't get excited! No answers here, but I have the same thing (have a mac too). It used to irk me to no end, now I don't care, as I have them in categories by genre, so it's not like I have hundreds of 4kb files filling up pages....
So at least yours isn't the only wonky one |

Standard with a mac, there is a little app you can use that strips them out automatically, it's freeware. I forget the name, but it was mentioned in other threads on this site in other forums

Yes it seems that it's a Mac issue:

I believe those are thumbnails, which are invisible when viewed by a Mac, but irritating as all get-out on devices like phones and readers. Well. And PCs. Because of them, I use my windows notebook to transfer files (and clean the SD when I need forget and use the Mac.
Now that I know there are "cleaners" for the problem, maybe I'll go back to using the Mac. Thanks. |
