CC does not work aqs wireless device anymore

Hi, I am unable to connect my Calibre Companion on my phone with my calibre on my MacBook anymore. Until April everything works fine, now I can't use Companion anymore.
Any Idea?

You can't connect either as a wireless or content server? Have you tried using your browser to connect to the content server? What sort of error are you seeing? It's working fine for me, so my guess is a problem with calibre, maybe you aren't starting the content server in calibre or it has a different IP address. Sometimes people forget to make sure that both the laptop and phone are on the same wireless network.

Hi, I am in the same network. I tried with wireless and content server. Tried with automatic and tried with special IP address. Nothing works. Maybe a problem if options of my MacBook after software update . No idea. I‘m not a IT specialist. I have no idea what I can do. So frustrating. Can‘t use cc anymore. Have to send me each individual book via mail ��. Kind regards, Bettina

you need to do the test in #2
"Have you tried using your browser to connect to the content server "

if the browser connect works, then it must be a cc issue

if browser connect does not work then it is NOT a CC issue and is something to do with network settings in the Mac, assuming that your phone still connect to internet ok for other things.

Yep. If I recall correctly, someone else posted a similar problem a few months back and it turned out that the phone was actually on a different network than the calibre machine, but not being able to connect via browser says it's calibre. Heck, could be something as simple as not starting the content server. If you don't have it set up to autostart it's pretty easy to forget to start it.
