I'm listening to the various thunder storms passing over this evening. It's got my favourite type of thunder; the slow, rolling type which get louder and louder (as if it's coming closer) until you can physically feel the rumbling. |

When you're feeling better you can to bars and talk about the other guy
Geeze dude! Those collars are the most uncomfortable things! I spent about eight hours in one after a draft horse tripped while jumping a fence and kind of landed on my head |

Sorry to hear that, Tom. Hope you heal up quickly. But do keep in mind that statistically, walking is one of the most dangerous activities. You're actually safer riding a a bicycle... on paper, at least!

Me? I'm sitting up here in the computer room, waiting for my wife and daughter to get back from the airport. Last week was finals week. She'll only be home for a few days, though -- she has an internship for the summer, a few hours away. She already has an apartment lined up.

Sorry to hear about your travails, WT. If it comforts you (it does me), you aren't the only one. In the past two years I have tripped and fallen at least three times, over a low curb, a bump in a parking lot, and a pot hole by a bus stop. The only thing that saved my head was learning to ski at 40+ -- I learned how to fall and roll with my head up. Boy, I did a lot of falling then!
Would listening to books be easier? |

You really need to keep away from these high-risk activities, Tom. Take up a nice safe hobby, like base jumping .
Hope you get better soon - it looks pretty painful . |
