I think it could handle any e-reader app...

I don't see anything wrong with it, for what it is. But it's a tablet with an e-Ink screen (which tends to lag when compared to its colorful and cheaper cousins) and it does a lot more than I need (or want) for an eReader. If I read mangas, PDFs (on a regular basis) or wanted to use an eReader for eMail, note taking or drawing, this would definitely be worth looking into (for the eInk screen's battery life alone).

Unfortunately the reviewers were so caught up in (to me) the gewgaws, they forgot to show off its abilities for reading eBooks. For a moment I saw the Kindle app (which had huge margins, hopefully they can be adjusted). Then, at the end, while showing off the lighting I got to see what (I presume) is the default eReader app, but they didn't show off its features. That's what I would really like to see in an eReader review – how well does it handle eBooks?

The problem with the review is that it's being done by GoodEReader and they have no idea how to do a proper review.

The always seem to stress manga and PDF over what people are going to use their eReaders for about 99% of the time. Reading "standard" eBooks.

Yeah. As soon as they pull up that baseball card PDF 9or in older videos, the D&D Monster Manual) I zone out or skip.

True. they don't review the main reading app for reading proper eBooks. They prefer to focus on things that aren't all that important. Plus, they don't optimize what they do try. For example, when they showed the Kindle app, they had the settings so they margins where overly wide. The eBook looked like a newspaper column.

The only time that D&D manual came in handy in a review was to see that Kobso dithers better then Kindles.
