Upgrade destroys Recipes

Each time I upgrade I lose one or more of my News favourites

I can no longer get International Herald Tribune, Scientific American and The Guardian.
Is there a cyber-war where Calibre users develop recipes and the webmaster of the news outlets blocks it?

There is unfettered web access to The Guardian as far as I can see.

Does 1.30.0 have bugs concerning recipes?

I am not any sort of a tech-head or programmer and any help will be appreciated.

Upgrading has nothing to do with. If an individual recipe stops working it is because the website has changed and the recipe needs to be updated for that change.
