I've not read the 'last chronicles' but I guess that 4th book in that set is coming out this year.
I've read the 1st book in the 3rd series. It was interesting and in spots a bit slow. But as a whole, it has the potential to pick up. I do have the 2nd book. It's on my 650 to be read as the first book I start in February.

I like the idea of Nyssa trying to read Finnegan's Wake. Maybe the most unreadable book of all time.

50 Shades of Gray IS BORING. So when are you reading about the perverted chicken?

There is also one that perverts a classic tale, 50 Shades of Alice in Wonderland. You could try that if the perverted chicken is not all that good.

Next is one from Baen's February Bundle (no longer available as a bundle). I'm going to read through my purchases being going on to backlog. So: Necessity's Child by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller

I just discovered this place and I love the recommendations.
I am currently reading 'The Historian' by Elizabeth Kostova and I am slowly being pulled into the plot.

It was a good read, and scared the bejeezus out of my wife.

I'm just about to begin a re-read of Homer's "Illiad." For some reason, the voice of 'Siri' on my phone makes me think of Helen...

Which translation are you going to read? I'd strongly recommend the Richard Latimore one.

God, rather you than me . It's all in rhyming couplets. There's only so much of that that I can stand. Honestly, if you want to read the Iliad, there really are MUCH better translations available.
