Jimmy checking in
Yo mobilereaders. I decided recently (while backpacking through Europe and constantly buying books then giving them away to make room in my bag for new books) that an ereader was in my future and found this forum while doing research to determine which device I wanted.
I quickly narrowed it down to the Kindle and Nook with part of me thinking the Kindle seemed like a better overall ereader with a much better store tied to it (downside being the format isn't epub) but the tech enthusiast in me decided I'll have more fun with the android based touch-screen Nook (then the enthusiast also decided it will be fun to buy ebooks from amazon and strip drm and convert them). Currently trying to decide if I want to softroot it. I hesitate because I'm not sure I want to have to mess with it everytime an update to the Nook is put out (which seems to be pretty often so far). Looks like a great forum and I look forward to reading and contributing! |
