kIndle 2 shows (0) archived items

I just bought myself a kindle2 for Xmas . At first it showed the books I downloaded in the archives. Then without warning it shows (0) in the archive. I can do a search for a word on my kindle and get to a book but I can't use it normally. I have the kindle app on my iPhone and it works flawless. It shows both my kindle and my iPhone as accounts on my amazon account . I got this to take to Afghanistan in less then two weeks and I need this to work before I go .

Is your Whispernet on? Your Kindle can't see/find your archives unless it's on.

It shows that it has wireless and 4 bars . How do I check whispernet

Try Home >> Menu >> Settings >> Menu >> Restart (NOT Reset to Factory Settings). Sometimes a reboot clears things up.

I reset to factory settings and re registered and that fixed it. Thanks for all who posted

The regular restart didn't work? I try to avoid factory since it wipes out everything.
